Waste Services of the Bluegrass, Inc. and Legacy Carting, LLC (Legacy) today announced that they have entered into an agreement to combine the two companies.  This transaction between the two Kentucky-based entities will create a leading full services waste company throughout the Bluegrass. The combined companies will deliver enhanced customer experience through a wider selection of waste services, all at very competitive prices.

The companies already have two big things in common. Both Waste Services of the Bluegrass and Legacy are known for their high level of customer service and their keen attention to environmental considerations. Plus, both are based in Central Kentucky, providing both operations jobs and administrative jobs in the Bluegrass. The combined company will be a stronger competitor in the Central Kentucky marketplace, using their combined services offerings to drive future growth.

Presently, Waste Services of the Bluegrass operates the Central Kentucky Landfill located in Georgetown, Kentucky, along with Thoroughbred Disposal, a CD&D landfill in Lexington, Kentucky, as well as Central Kentucky Hauling.  Legacy Carting’s comprehensive residential hauling services and expertise will give the combined companies exactly what consumers and businesses need – affordable, full service waste disposal.
